Begin your journey through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, with stops in the charming town of Ifrane (known as the Switzerland of Morocco) and the cedar forests of Azrou, where Barbary monkeys roam. Continue through Midelt and the dramatic Ziz Valley, dotted with palm groves and ksour. Arrive in Merzouga before sunset and ride your camel across the golden dunes to your desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner and live Berber music under the stars.

Overnight: Desert Camp in Merzouga

Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, then return by camel or 4×4 to Merzouga village. After breakfast, visit Khamlia village to enjoy Gnawa music, and explore the surrounding desert plateaus. Meet nomadic families, learn about their traditional lifestyle, and optionally try sandboarding, 4×4 excursions, or visit a fossil site in Erfoud. End the day with a relaxing stay in a local kasbah.

Overnight: Kasbah Hotel in Merzouga

Leave the desert behind and travel toward the spectacular Todra Gorge, a natural canyon with towering rock walls, perfect for walking and photos. After lunch, continue through Berber villages and the valleys of the High Atlas to reach the peaceful town of Boumalne Dades, known for its surreal rock formations and winding roads like the “Monkey Fingers.”

Overnight: Guesthouse in Boumalne Dades

After breakfast, follow the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, stopping in the Valley of Roses and Skoura Oasis to explore beautiful kasbahs like Amridil. Visit the cinematic city of Ouarzazate, home to Atlas Film Studios. Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most iconic fortified villages. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, and descend into vibrant Marrakech.

Overnight: Riad or Hotel in Marrakech

Take a day to relax or explore Marrakech at your own pace. You can revisit sites like the Majorelle Garden, Bahia Palace, or enjoy the atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fna Square. Optionally, book a traditional hammam spa, a cooking class, or a hot air balloon ride over the Palmeraie.

Overnight: Riad or Hotel in Marrakech

Depart from Marrakech and head to the economic capital, Casablanca. Visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in the world, dramatically set on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a walk along the Corniche, or explore the local medina and Art Deco architecture.
