6-Day Desert Tour: Marrakech – Merzouga – Fes – Rabat – Marrakech
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Morning Departure & Scenic Drive
Your journey begins with an 8:00 AM pickup from your Marrakech accommodation. Travel through the stunning Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2,260m), with panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains and traditional Berber villages.
Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
Visit the iconic Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village famous for its appearance in movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Wander through the ancient clay streets and discover its rich history.
Ouarzazate – The Hollywood of Morocco
Next, we stop at Ouarzazate, where you can explore the Atlas Film Studios and visit the Taourirt Kasbah, a beautifully preserved 19th-century palace.
Dades Valley – The Road of a Thousand Kasbahs
Continuing through Rose Valley and the Skoura palm groves, we reach Dades Gorge, known for its dramatic rock formations. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and an overnight stay in a charming riad or hotel.





Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga – Camel Trek & Desert Camp
Breakfast & Todra Gorge Exploration
- After breakfast, continue to Todra Gorge, a canyon with 300m-high cliffs.
- Take a short hike along the river and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
Journey to Merzouga & The Sahara
- Drive through Berber villages and stop at Rissani, known for its traditional souks and ksars.
- Arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.
Camel Trek & Desert Camp Experience
- Embark on a sunset camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes.
- Arrive at your luxury desert camp, where you’ll be welcomed with Moroccan tea.
- Enjoy a traditional dinner, followed by Berber music and drumming around a campfire.
- Sleep in a private tent under the twinkling stars.
Day 3: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Cedar Forest – Fes
Sunrise Over the Sahara & Breakfast
- Wake up early to witness a magical sunrise over the dunes.
- Return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 for breakfast and a refreshing shower.
Ziz Valley & Midelt
- Travel through the Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves and spectacular gorges.
- Stop in Midelt, a peaceful town in the Middle Atlas Mountains, for lunch.
Cedar Forest & Ifrane
- Visit the Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to Barbary macaque monkeys.
- Explore Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its European-style architecture.
Arrival in Fes
- Check into your riad in Fes and enjoy a free evening to explore.





Day 4: Full-Day Exploration of Fes
Explore the Cultural Capital of Morocco
- Start your day with a guided tour of Fes, Morocco’s most historic imperial city.
- Visit the famous Al Quaraouiyine University, the world’s oldest university.
- Explore the medina, one of the most intact medieval cities in the world.
- Discover the Chouara Tannery, where leather is still dyed traditionally.
- Visit the Royal Palace, Bou Inania Madrasa, and Nejjarine Fountain.
- Free evening to enjoy dinner in a traditional Moroccan restaurant.
Day 5: Fes – Meknes – Rabat
Meknes – The Imperial City
- Depart Fes and drive to Meknes, a lesser-known imperial city.
- Visit the Bab Mansour Gate, Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, and the Granaries.
- Explore Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site with ancient Roman ruins.
Rabat – The Capital of Morocco
- Continue to Rabat, the modern capital of Morocco.
- Visit the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Udayas.
- Overnight stay in Rabat.





Day 6: Rabat – Casablanca – Marrakech
Casablanca – The Economic Hub
- Visit Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic capital.
- Stop at the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in the world.
- Explore the Corniche, where you can enjoy an oceanfront walk.
Return to Marrakech
- Drive back to Marrakech, where we’ll drop you off at your accommodation.
- End of an unforgettable 6-day adventure!
